The Wye Valley - designated an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The town of Chepstow sits on the River Wye where it flows into the Severn Estuary, on the border between England and Wales. Chepstow has much to offer the visitor and is an excellent base from which to explore the Wye Valley.

Within easy driving distance, the visitor can see the majesty of Tintern Abbey on the banks of the river, the splendour of Symonds Yat or enjoy browsing among the numerous mediaeval castles that abound in the area.

If you are looking for wide open spaces, the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons are within a 40 minute drive.

Chepstow itself has been a key location throughout the region's history with its spectacular castle perched on the cliffs above the River Wye, impressive 13th century town walls and its twisting , mediaeval streets, there are many reminders of its historic past.

For the sports fans, Chepstow racecourse is within 2 miles, where meetings are held all year round under both National Hunt and Jockey Club Rules. The attractive golf courses of St Pierre, Shirenewton, Celtic Manor and Dewstow are all within twenty minutes of the hotel.
